They say life is too short to be depressed and in pain but what if its life that's causing us to be depressed and in pain

I hate my insecurity. I hate how I choose to be. I hate all the tears I cry.

But most of all, I hate being me.

You have no idea what I've been through,
So don't pretend you do.

I carved your name into my arm so I'd remember you,
Sometimes it hurts so bad, I don't know what to say.

You know the music isn't loud enough,
When you can still hear yourself,

Screaming and crying along with the words.
