Mommy, people wonder why I am not big on looking in the mirrors but it's not because I don't care. It's becasue each time I do, it kills my heart a little more, seeing you in me... Mommy, I'd do anything to feel you're touch just once more.

Mommy, I was 5, standing in front of you in a casket. I can feel myself sobbing, trying despretly to lay beside you. To have one more smell of your perfume, to have just one last feel at your hair, and to hear you say you love me, just one last time.

Mommy, do you ever watch me from heaven? Are you proud of what you see? Do you ever stop and lose youreself in thought of me, as I so often do of you?

Mommy, do you hear me when I cry out at night? Are you what calms me and helps me sleep those nights? Do you ever sit by my bedside and sing softly while I sleep?

Mommy, I tear up everytime I hear the star spangled banner, becasue when I close my eyes, I can still see you laying beside me in bed, your fingers playing with my curls, and it's you I hear singing... to me- my nightly lullaby.

Mommy, I remember the night you died, laying curled up in a ball on the floor besdie you're bed, crying for hours. And deep down I knew, no longer would I ever a child again...

Mommy, I know that Daddy misses you. Every once and a while, when he doesn't think I see, from across the room I'll see him smile sadly, and softly shake his head. He'll quickly wipe his cheek and give a quiet sigh....

I dont cry because I miss you , I cry because I miss what we use to have.
