Life, society /
meaning of life
Take a trip inside my mind
Marvel at its savvy
Feast upon the wonders there
It's as complex I'm sure as any
Can you see the twists and turns
The black bits and the white
Don't be alarmed at the colours too
They don't always glare so bright
But go carefully with that bit there
That's where my hope resides
The things that I wish for myself
It's fragile, it's there, but it hides
It's difficult to spot I know
Because I shroud it with 'must do's'
I squash it to the bottom of the list
Is it just me that does that? Do you?
I know that I should prioritise
I know I matter too
But everyone needs bits of me
And to them, I'm the glue
So I store it back there in my mind
Tethered by obligatory rope
Even though everything else comes first
I'll never give up my hope.

The goings-on in your mind sound as complex and frustrating as my own, K. lol.
Well written indeed and all the very best,
Haha, indeed Ben, what a pickle! Lol
Thanks so much :-)
Kitty, loved the last 3 stanzas.
Never give up and keep on posting such great poems.
Try to express yourself as much as you can.
Aw thanks Lucifer, I really appreciate that :-)
You do describe the inner workings of your mind so well KitKat. Love this! And yes that is your new nickname - as it is shorter and I also like KitKats.
Hahaha ... thanks Mark, and glad you liked it :-)
You seem to be made of tough stuff like most of us here especially the ahem ladies ;) lol
Yeah I like to think so, but we all have our weak spots too ... ironically on this site, we probably know more about each others strengths and weaknesses through sharing our poems than those in our lives actually do! :-)
Oh yes she does Em. :-) Great write, Kitty.
Thanks Mel :-)
