Twister or Twisted

by CJ Maleney   Dec 14, 2017

"Where is the the one-man whirlwind"

Floated words in my absence,
Words carried back to me on tiny wings.
little bees that never cease their buzzing.
Always so busy are the little bees.

I know not of the context in which they were used,
Or the tone of voice in their utterance.
Should I feel insulted or honored?
Angry or amused?

I know I'm confused!

Is this what I am? A whirlwind?
Turbulence, chaos destruction?
When I am present do things get destroyed?

Things do not!
Things get done!

Perhaps
I am a whirlwind,

Perhaps
I leave behind a wake!

Perhaps!

It's time I was no longer a storm,
And more a gentle breeze.

Each one of us have a way to get things done and make sure
tasks are complete and each person's method/approach is different.
People can interpret it in ways they like and ways they understand
you. The bottom line: you know who you are and how things work
so just go ahead and do...not listen and doubt yourself whether you are
twisted or a twister....You are You!

I liked very much the metaphor if buzzing bees. A whirlwind can mean many things. If it is used in the context of a person it generally means it's a person that doesn't sit still and wait around hoping someones going to do something. They get on and do it themselves. They are doers - people of action who get things done no matter what the obstacles. In a team or in business that is a wonderful thing because somones able to step up to the mark and get things done. Some people however who work at a slower pace or who dont have the capabilities or confidence can feel insecure about doers. I don't think you can ever please everyone. You just need to be true to yourself and follow your instincts because if you are a doer and trying not to be and nobody does anything then it will drive you up the wall. I know because I'm one too. :) best wishes Milly x

Craig, I think you're a 'do-er' ... I bet this was said affectionately but I get how frustrating it would be to not know the context of how it was said. Don't listen to gossip!
    A fantastic write! :-) x
