Deceit

by Kitty Cat Lady   Mar 14, 2018

I've been creeping round now for some time
I'm sorry that I lied
I didn't want you to find out
The extent I've had to hide

I know you've noticed me acting odd
Speaking in whispers on the phone
And at times I've seemed quite flustered
When you have arrived home

Yes you are the last to know
All your friends heard before you
I begged them not to spill it
It would have spoiled it if you knew

So now you know the whole truth
And I'm laughing loud and hearty
I really hope that you enjoy
Your special surprise party!

You totally nailed me with this ond.

I was thinking of me some ill deed and then you drop the punchline in the last stanza

Fantastic rhyming throughout and throughly enjoyable
