Final Flurry

by CJ Maleney   Apr 3, 2019

Spring arrives and leaves appear on trees,
Warming Sun kisses wanton skin.
Butterflies appear and the first Bees buzz.

However! winter has not said goodbye.

She sneers her farewell with vengeance.
She covers both mountains and fells.
She drops sleet and snow on high roads.

As vehicles slip and slide
As the new born lambs freeze and die.

She says

"forget me not, for I am eternal".

"I will see you again"

And you will remember!

Yes winter has a way to leave her mark and create
memories, nature is so powerful and with each season
she has given a piece of her strength for us humans never
    to forget!Well penned!
