Injured Soul

by Lonely Rider   Apr 7, 2008

White marbelled ceiling,
lights turned on..
staring at them,
is a soul weared down..
finds no solace...
finds no respite..
that was a hard bargain,
unregretful despite..
What is left -
an injured soul and
painful tears...
screaming aloud..
if only anyone could hear..

I love the way you appeal to the senses in this one. the imagery is perfect and: "screaming aloud..
    if only anyone could hear.."
    is so powerful
