The Long and Winding Road

by Cindy   Jul 9, 2009

The Long and Winding Road

Sometimes I see a ray of light
Glinting through the trees
Everytime I reach out my hands
It disappears from me

Traveled a long winding road
I thought would never end
Now the rays, light my path
With love sent from a friend

There you were standing strong
Beautiful smile upon your face
Encouraging me to hold on
With you I've found my place

You took a once shattered heart
With your kind and gentle ways
Opening it to love again
Tender feelings always stay

It is a wonderful thing to know that some friends would stand by you and share in every aspect of your life, wheteher it be sad or happy.
Knowing you my friend was indeed a blessing for me for, I know too well of the kindness and caring your heart always express.
A wonderful write worthy of the win.An enjoyable read.

What a beautiful write and dedication to a friend. I think a lot of us can relate to that someone that comes into our lives and guides us along, and brings light to our world and helps us through our difficult times. Thats what true friendship is, and everyone deserves to have one person in their life to do that for them. I'm glad to see that the light is shining for you! Well done.

A friendship that can't be measured by mere words. The tenderness and appreciation for some one dear is clear in this wonderful poem
