Silent Voices

by Lonely Rider   May 5, 2010

Silent voices echo
in the corridors
of a solitary night,

Drenched in teaspoonful
of distant dream-dust
sprinkled by a lonely star,
images whistle -
a haunting melody.

Questions embrace
clueless existence
of my breath.

Yay! I could almost visualize this :) my fave stanza.

I think your opening and closure were the best parts, even though the whole poem deserves to be praised :)

    Well done!

    Raj,

This was an interesting piece by you & if I hadn't of used my three nominations for this week, this piece would be at top of my list. I liked the length of this poem, it was inspiring... especially since I am trying to write a short verse for an exercise in RTVW.

I found your word choice to be quite beautiful, some of the metaphors were stunning.. The second stanza would have to be my favorite, it was eerie, & mysterious to me..

While the topic of being alone has been used quite a lot, this piece defined itself. It was elegant, and capturing. Definitly worth the read.. A favorite piece by you. Well done on writing such a lovely write.
