The Serpent In The Garden

by SiLeNtLy ScReAmInG   Aug 3, 2010

Ice crystals formed within my veins,
As you spat your poison out,
Slipping venomous words into my ears,
You tried to plant the seeds of doubt.

Do not mistake my silence,
For submission to your hateful lies,
I can see right through them,
To your deceit filled eyes.

I do not falter for a moment,
I've heard this all before,
It's not I who will be shaken,
And running for the door.

So I dare you to do your worst,
Tear me down if you know how,
I've seen scarier things than you,
You're just a frightened kitten on the prowl.
