Lunar Love

by Lonely Rider   May 7, 2012

The Gibbous moon gracefully glided,
across a sea of blue nothingness
caressing dusky billows,

An enamored Gulmohar,
looked on, coldly,
drenched in unfulfilled desires,

He, a mere spectator,
the Rusty Streetlamp,
a witness to flirtatious smiles
and longing sighs.

**Inspired by the Super Moon that lit up the sky on Saturday.

As always your words flow like a gentle stream and as beautiful as a sunset. Loved this one

    The Gibbous moon gracefully glided,
across a sea of blue nothingness
    caressing dusky billows,

^I missed that moon too and I am sure it would have sparked many a mind to pen its beauty and that is what is revealed in this write!

    An enamored Gulmohar,
    looked on, coldly,
    drenched in unfulfilled desires,

^One can feel the yearning of all those piled
    up desires!

    He, a mere spectator,
    the Rusty Streetlamp,
    a witness to flirtatious smiles
    and longing sighs.

^As I read this it just came to my mind like a scene from a movie where the longing heart waits for a sweet glance from the maiden...a lovely read!
