The Subtle Practice Of Humility.

by Steven Beesley   Jun 18, 2012

Lack of false pride
is truly such a
rare and noble virtue.

A disposition that
can only be admired
a trait so desirable.

For foolish pride
will often show
itself as a sign
of weakness.

Artificial humility
practiced so
fluently can never
be disguised.

It is what sets
individuals
miles apart.

For being genuine
is a long term condition
for which there is no
common antidote.

    Artificial humility
    practiced so
    fluently can never
    be disguised.

^This stanza is so true because whatever
that is done artificially comes out clear
    to people.

    For being genuine
    is a long term condition
    for which there is no
    common antidote.

^I like this ending. Its so rare to find genuine
people nowadays and for these type of people
it comes naturally and they don't have to fake it..liked this read.

I used to believe in pride. It has convinced
me otherwise. We may reach a point in life
where we must lay down our pride.
that is what I gather from this poem
