Your Mamma Don't Dance

Your mamma don't dance,
But trust me she can move.
She may not glide across the floor
But on my silk sheets she's smooth.

You may not see her foxtrot,
How could she in those heels.
But the legs that stand above them
Can make men rock and reel.

You see, you are still a whippet
And you think you know it all
But your momma is still a fox
She's done things you'll never know.

All the things you think original
We did em before you.
We didn't play computers.
But sometimes we dodged school.

So yes we dreamed and danced,
And sometimes we still do,
We can't ignore the music
Without it there'd be no you.

We may be getting older
A little grey upon our head
But I promise you this my child
We certainly ain't dead.

And ya mamma can bloody dance.

    70s song Contest Comment: The way the author of this piece incorporated different types of dance and the highly personality filled rhyme choices make this piece flow so well. I felt as though there was a rhythm to this that felt as the author was dancing along as they typed this and it was an infectious feeling. And the end of the piece was a very interesting conclusion that left me contemplating the different views and aspects to this piece. Absolutely wonderful write.

      Just needs a chorus lol.

      Some of the stuff I've written, were written as lyrics. However I do not have the skills necessary to make them songs, so rhyme they became.

      Glad you liked I wanted it to be light hearted but still have a message. It was one of those that virtually wrote itself.

      I got my title and it was submitted ten minutes later or there abouts. I think it was one of the first ones sent in
