Sick of being sick

Sniffles, sore throat, lots of sleep
I am so sick of being sick
Coughing, spluttering, lots of pills
Keeping food down a challenge

Oh I am so ready
For myself to be

Back at work in the office
Every breath to come out unstrained
In my chair so old it has a butt imprint
Noone constantly annoying me
Grabbing at tissues every few minutes

Sighing deeply I cause myself to cough
Intense pain shoots through my body
Constant headaches, and muscle spasms
Keeping me in bed for yet another day
