adverse affection!

He knocked the stuffing out of her heart;
as her love cushioned the weight
of his blow; ramming his
subservience down her
throat; raping her of
self-esteem

He snapped
at her integrity
she was left to clean up his
brutality; leaving her sentimental value

Suffocated;
in darkness;
dying slowly in silence;
drowning in loneliness.
Her colour ran cold;
and her warming
glow; dimmed
and faded
