First sight

The other day I asked a question..
One I didn't expect an answer for..
Yet you really suprised me
Opened my heart a little more..

I realise I'm difficult
I made you wait for years..
I fight with you on everything
Once even bought you to tears..

It's hard for me to let you see
Everything I go through..
But know I'm working on it each day
My little gift to you..

I am damaged goods
A broken usless soul..
But to me each small step
Feels like the winning goal..

So I asked you for the truth
When did you know it was love..
And your answer was so sincere
Rays of sunlight appeared through stormy clouds above..

So what was the answer
You whispered without hesitation..
Simple..

"The day I knew I loved you, was the very first time we met"..
