My canvas knows best

by Dagmar Wilson   Jan 10, 2018

When busy painting
I often use a language that's misunderstood,
if a canvas could come alive
layers of paint would move in circles
slowly running down the wall.

I mix the colors
make them look brighter,
you still can see the black.

My paintings are the image of my soul
thoughts I can't repeat,
I use a silent language that's often misunderstood.
My canvas knows the truth.

Yes I wonder how many paintings are misconstrued from the artists true meaning in them? This is great Dagmar and I love that you have more than one creative outlet. :-) x

    wow! Miss Dagmar,

This piece has such a depth to it. I imagine your paintings full of your emotions and feelings. I love the way you have used words to describe how you paint, and what you bring out with all different colours.
A truly wonderful poem lady and glad to see this nominated.
    Much love
    Michael :)x
