Tampered With

by Bleu   Aug 13, 2018

In the midnight hours,
soul exposed.
I found out a secret
as you were baring your soul

In the depth of your misery,
A story so blue.
You showed me the tale,
you showed me You.

My heart broke,
as your soul let me in.
A heart full of poison...
who harmed you deep within?

Was she pretty;
did she have eyes of green?
Did she say that she would always be there
and promise to never leave?

How did she poison you,
how did she get so deep within?
Did you give her your all
and things still did not go as planned?

With your soul exposed
I seen all I needed to see.
I found the truth that
you had been trying to show to me.

It was that moment that
I made a choice.
I chose to love you
unconditionally.

I looked into your tainted eyes
and noticed softness deep inside.
I found your secret place
and told you that you no longer had to hide.

In a matter of seconds, all your pain faded away.
I knew right then that I would protect your heart
until my dying day.

It's often at our most vulnerable that we reveal the most... the truth needed for a heart to understand.

It's like you have wrote the feelings of my heart. Yes she is pretty or guess she was.
    Green eyes too.
