Stop! Put them back!
Step away from the biscuits
(You worked hard! A few won't hurt!
Surely you can risk it?)

You know you'll be sorry -
"A moment on the lips" ...
(Oh come on, who are you kidding?
You already ate those chips!)

Just think of how you'll feel
Once you've swallowed all of that?
(Mmm ... full, satisfied and happy
And all sleepy like a cat)

That new dress now won't fit you
You'll cry when you try it on
(Just work extra hard tomorrow
All those calories you'll burn!)

Will you two please just shut up!
You're making such a racket!
I can think for myself you know!
(She says .. reaching for the packet)

    I was intrigued by the title and had a feeling it was something
    to do with little kids and snacks! But this is something different a
    self talk and the war within which goes on when one is tempted just
    for another cookie! From start to finish enjoyed the read!(
