Secret World of Dreams

by William Mae   Sep 11, 2018

I lay in bed at end of day,
Where I exercise free will,
Allowed to think on any thought,
While searching how I feel.

It settles into daydream,
In detail builds a place,
A cabin, deck and fireplace,
Then I bid you to my space.

I paint a watery view below me,
Cool breeze helping in my quest,
Stirs up a chilly evening,
My arms become your welcomed guest.

I pull you tightly to me,
Our bodies sharing heat,
Nows the perfect moment,
To kiss along your cheek.

My mind helps the moon rise,
Shimmering across the waves,
I kiss along your neckline,
Beneath the moonlights silvery rays.

My hands explore your body,
And we sigh inside a kiss,
Then I build in some music,
To make it harder to resist.

Before we find conclusion,
The Sand man takes control,
Though he knows I want more moments,
I am forced to let them go.

So he whisks me in the darkness,
To another world of dreams,
My mind has no control there,
As I do in mine it seems.

But on the morrow evening,
when it’s quiet again I find,
I bring back the daydream,
Give control back to my mind.

For we make love each evening,
When I lay down it seems,
And we share a bond unbreakable,
In our secret world of dreams.
