Shadow of Oppression

by Hope   Dec 11, 2018

Can you hear me now?...
when a tree falls it makes no sound,
here we go, here we go again,
there is no End,
over and over again,
where do we start?
where do we walk in the dark?
no shadow for the light...,
only the sound of my heartbeat,
only the sound of my footsteps,
you learn to feel the night,
one step away from my breath,
what would anyone see?
I could only hit the ground,
when a tree falls it makes no sound,
angels could only come to me,
and it's all by the breath I breathe,
can you hear me now?
shadows could only flow with the light,
I bask in the shadows of the night,
silence is golden beyond this horizon,
what would anyone see?
it's all given by the breath I breathe,
can you see me?
a ghost and a shadow...,
we're all hollow.

I liked this piece it has fascinating visuals that swirl around the mind rich in emotion. The imagery is gentle and probing and yet screams of someone disappearing into themselves. That feeling of being a ghost and shadow permeate throughout. Milly x
