I sometimes wonder if people who take our freedom for granted really know what it would feel like to live under a dictator... internet access being one of the things in this modern society that we take for granted one can only imagine what it would be like if it was controlled (just an example that I think most will relate to) although there are plenty of worse atrocities I could mention.
I'm glad to see this nominated and I hope those who read it will stop for a moment to appreciate what we have and why we have it.

You are right, many of us can condemn it, but if it weren't for the sacrifice of men and women, our freedom, our lifestyle would be very different. We should never forget and be grateful that we have good people still willing to do what is necessary.

Too many people live in little bubbles completely oblivious of the sacrifice that has been made through history for them or that many people continue even in today's enlightened times to suffer from one inhumane regime or another.
