I have returned!

I was on my way to visit a dying dear friend, a sense of urgency held a grip on my heart, I believed his life was close to it's end. My emotions were running high as I trod the Hospital's long cold hallway, just the thought of death gave me short breath, knowing the stark reality that death stalks us all.

A big surprise awaited me as I entered the room, my friend had this broad smile on his face, I had been prepared to see only gloom. I stuttered my words when asking how he could be so happy while facing doom, reasoning, I asked; how can you be so happy under the circumstances, he replied; because I'm not under the circumstances!

He told me something that I never knew, his father was a Minister who taught him the Bible as a young boy, I walked with Jesus, being filled with his joy. As a teenager, the storm clouds of life overshadowed me, strange desires arose, I began to seek the mystery of women, with thier magical power of attraction, pretty dresses, especially thier hose.

I fell into a life of debauchery, wine, women, and song, all day long. I made bad choices, what I thought was a good thing was doing me in, trouble was just around the bend, I sought help, but could not find a friend, thinking that death would be my final end. Like the prodigal son, I returned to my dad, after my deep godly repentance, the Lord once again poured out his Holy Spirit upon me that caused the fires to burn again, I have returned.

I know that it was the Lord's Will that sent me to my dying friend, in order to reveal his power to save and heal, my friend discarded his earthen body to be with Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of the Universe, Creator of all things.
