Phone Call

by Mortal Utopia   Sep 1, 2019

Our voices fell silent.

On your side of the world,
I heard rain.

And the cars that passed by
and away
like reluctant memories.

And laughter too, a little distant now.

I looked up at the sun, reached for it,
and picked my next words.
