my heart is a garden

even my Daisies sprouted thorns
as those venomous words
left your lips.
why were you surprised
when my heart refused to wither
and die

    Daisies with thorns is quite a striking image. It seems you need a gardener to tend those weeds and allow your garden to flourish. :)
