Time will not remember the beauty
of a single rose given without love
but with thought,
yet I know the thousand words
which pricked my finger leaving
my nights in knots;

Time will not remember the coldness
of a distant look walking away from
my touch,
only I understand a storm's passion
which uncaged days of doubts
and I tell my heart to hush...
