Accidentally

by Mortal Utopia   Oct 12, 2020

You are my unwanted beacon,
accidentally precious,
when you fill me with the light
that shines bright
in eyes closed
but wandering.
For how can I drift to sleep
when thoughts of you, and nothing more,
are beside me?
I want to sleep, to dream,
to dream of you beside me.
I want to dream that I can be your light,
no matter how accidental,
too.
