Passing the street that leads to nowhere.

by Star   Mar 2, 2021

I saw the moon
the other day
so big,
so full,
so bright,
almost tipping over
the horizon
touching
a street light
that was just lit.

I sat in silence,
as the car drove
around a corner
took him away
from my
narrow sight.

My body
paralyzed
almost forgetting
to take in
one
more
breath.

My mind
blacking
out.

Just as it
got dark,
I heard
a voice
waking
me
up
.
.

I know this is poem is not about what I am going to share with you but it reminded me of the time I mistook the moon for a light in the street. What can I say? That light was so bright and round and it looked so far away.

    On another topic, nice imagery.
