Marriage

by Maud   Mar 21, 2021

I do not love this pen,
but I do love you.

So I will use it begrudgingly
to tell you what you mean to me.

I want a ring on my finger
and our love to never end,
eternity of passion,
a lifetime hand in hand.

I want our child in my belly
and to raise him sweet and bright,
alongside his siblings
who have my heart until I die.

You are the love of my life.

My soulmate, my partner in crime.
Vow to me that you will always be mine.
And my heart will be yours,

now

and for the rest of our lives.

I love you.

Oh, I recognise this, the wanting a commitment. The knowledge of being in love and knowing marriage is the perfect bond.

Love is a feeling that is hard to deny. When it’s right, you know and you don’t want to let it go.
