Tied Up In Knots

by Walter   Mar 30, 2021

With life you're given one long rope
Which becomes our line to live and hope
But starts in knots with which it's tied
For us to loosen before we stride

There's no point to complain
Life is no journey on a train
These knots are there for us to learn
To pause and think before we turn

Sometimes the path might turn steep
We start to fall into a heap
But thank the knots in our life line
Without them there, we'd just decline

Soon you'll see the past is clear
The knots they all disappear
And the line that's left will reflect
The path we chose is correct

You might see a path of wealth
Of love and laughs and hope and health
Which only happens when we pause
Where the knots in life become the cause

Thanks Mr.Darcy and your comment is right, the rope does start knot free. But I was trying to show is that if we were able to see our whole life line, or rope- future included, we shouldn't panic if we see it tied in knots along the way. Although they might slow us down, they also help us re-evaluate and assess an obstacle in a different light which will lead us through another path in life that we might have missed.

Nice moral. I'd say, Walter that our rope starts of knot free. Our formative years create the knots and so, ideally, as adults we learn to unravel our rope back until those knots are found. Because these knots were made in our youth they are tight, but perseverance will undo them, until finally, our rope is free.
