I want to remember the snow I saw with you
to cover the ashes beneath.

I want to remember your smile
to forget your despairing shrieks.

I want to remember holding your hands
to unsee your hands around my neck, to breathe.

I want to forget about you and your blood
so you no longer haunt my dreams.
