No Parental Access

No Parental Access

Parents what are you doing to your kids,
That they keep killing or dying?
Do you hear their pain?
Are you even trying?

Our world has gone bad
Because of the children you’ve raised.
You didn’t care enough to be there,
And now they’ve gone crazed.

We are a product of our environment,
That’s what they say.
Have you ever lived by example?
To show your child another way?

Children aren’t born with the knowledge
to lie, cheat, steal, and kill.
You bred that into them,
When you didn’t listen to how they feel.

Grow the hell up
stop thinking it’s “your time”
Stay out of the clubs, parties and drug houses.
Quit predisposing your children to crime!!

Stop having children,
when you’re not even grown yourself.
when you are so young,
you leave your child on the shelf.

Daddys’ stop touching your children
in inappropriate ways.
Your child
seems to be the only one that pays.

Mommys’ stop hitting your children,
and give them something more secure.
Let them enjoy life,
Stop making them just endure.

Listen….
What do you hear?
Is your childs’ silence,
something you ought to fear?
Sometimes these kids are so sad,
they want to end their own life,
but instead,
they decide to kill and pick up a knife.

How do you live with yourself
if one day your child lays dead?
When a simple “I love you”
could have been said?

This poem is so true. It has a fairly abstract rhyme scheme but flows very well due to the perfect rhyming. I love the message more than anything though. These adults who do not want children or arent ready to have children and cannot raise them properly need to just not have children at all. People need to quit using and abusing each other. We are slowly but surely creating a world none of us are going to want to live in. And it is all at the fault of these no good screw ball parents. Sorry for ranting but this is a very oppiniated subject for me. Anways, Awsome poem. People really do need to hear this out. Take care. 5/5!

This touches SO many people...it's true, there are so many parents that don't deserve to be parents...it's not always the parents' fault, but much too often it is...there's a lot of truth in this poem, very well done, again. You have great messages in your poetry!
