Misunderstood angel

Nightmares full of demons
confronting your every fear
scaring and bringing fright
just from the way in which they appear

but there is one demon
not of the usual killing kind
only helpless and mistaken
to those angels o so blind

this demon has only done
her best to help and please
her intentions were good
yet in return was found no ease

her best just didn't seem
to ever be good enough
as far as those angels
were concerned from up above

like you or i she tried
to bring a smile to a saddened face
but she always chose the souls
that weren't accepted in any place

she took it upon herself
a need to strong for her to handle
before other angels had themselves
given up with this souls battle

see this demon was in fact
purer than those angels with their wings
as they hadn't seen themselves
this soul too one day could sing

but this demon was rejected
despite her endless tries
she was never quite successful
now she no longer flies

she now remains demolished
deep in the pits of hell
no longer in reach of her place in heaven
instead shes left to dwell

this demon was misunderstood
similar to many around
just think before you chose to insult
as you to could push an angel underground
