My sunken wings

Its so hard to understand
how you caused so much destruction
did you intend to bring so much pain
so much hatred and devastation

how do you sleep each night
when knowing the hurt you caused
do you not possess a conscience
therefore enjoy watching my flaws

are you proud of what you've achieved
my heart shattering being a bonus
did you get more than you bargained for
did you set out to make me lifeless

my wing have now sunk
along with my head, once held high
never again will i look back and smile
instead i remember and wonder why

your life being one long game
emotions to you are alien
but to me my mind is full
of the many ways I'm failing

failing to pick up the pieces
losing this on going war
blood seeping from the wounds you caused
each drop joins the puddle on the floor

this puddle displays my defeat
from bitter pain so strong inside
it holds every drop of crimson
and every tear Ive cried

each day i submerge deeper
into this wide spread ocean
because when i met you, you broke what was left
destroying me and my complete devotion
