Fairy Tales and Forgotten Dreams

by Dark Savior   Jan 6, 2005

Come and take a walk with me, take my hand for eternity
come and take a walk with me, so that you can see what i see
a woman who is devoted in every way
the thought of her alone gets me through the day

such a woman i wish could have been had
but thinking about this makes me so mad
i know she doesn't exist but in my mind
but i still want a woman who is gentle and kind

who cares and likes the same things i do
someone i can sit down and actually listen to
someone who can hold a conversation
someone i didn't meet while in a state of inebriation

if your out there then please will you let me know
because i wish for a woman who isn't so low
i want a woman who i can trust and give my heart too
i want a woman who could be just like a woman like you

i want a woman who i can show the true side of myself
who i can worry about not being put on the back shelf
when i have a bad day, she is there to cheer me up
could be just a little thing, like telling me to "suck it up"

someone who is strict but kind, loving but hard
someone who is smart and never hides their trump card
when i look into her eyes i want to see our past, present and end.
i know that none of this is real but just let me close my eyes and pretend...

Good poem. I know its hard to believe, but there are actually women like that out there and Im guessing she'll come along when you least expect it. Good luck, keep up the great work.

I thought this was an exceptionally beautiful poem. And one day I hope you find the woman of your dreams. She exists, just look and you find her. Great job! Enjoyed! lol

Unfortunately due to my immaturity, I wasn't able to read the rest of your poem properly after the second line.

You have accidently put 'Welk' instead of 'Walk' in the second line, which was much to my amusement.

But It's a lovely poem none the less. Well done :) Take Care.
