Kid Killers

by Dark Savior   Jan 9, 2005

No one goes out without a vest on their chest
mothers and fathers putting their children to rest
but yet we allow it to happen with so much detest
maybe someday they will get a lead and make an arrest

Everyone just sat back and watched him get killed
don't act like it isn't something you helped build
you didn't come forward even though you knew
you seen him come home with blood on his shoe

you kept your mouth shut and silenced for life
because you were held to gunpoint or threatened with a knife
you think about it what that little boy must have felt
just before his body and bullets began to meld

you don't seem to understand, kids got it worse off
knowing that any minute a gun could just pop off
too proud to back; too stupid to stand up for what's right
so silently they stole a gun and popped that kid, that night

Don't get me wrong, it's not just the same old song
i am not here to point fingers, say who was right or wrong
you know in your heart if what you did was just
so you just have to close your eyes, follow and trust.
