Crossing Bridges (Gaps)

by Dark Savior   Feb 8, 2005

Like Ice an water that is partly frozen
a door only just begun closing

a road only traveled by few
pavement walked on a wore shoe

a finger pointing up at the moon
one flower that's begun to bloom

Some take a car and drive straight through
others walk slowly, solely for the view

look back and you can see your shadow
look forward, you see darkness and hollow

when you reach the very end
there are family, pets and friends

before the end you look to the left and right
only to see other roads that were plainly in sight

wondering why there are roads on the left and right
too focused on what was in-front; the darkened night

look back at the valley's, cracks and ridges
look back at all the bumps, gaps and bridges.
