Angels Apart

An angel came to me one day,
Parted her lips as if to say
She'd save my life and set me free,
In her my future I could see.

Her wings were frayed and her soul weak,
Lost in darkness, whispers speak.
I close my eyes, you touch my skin,
Alone, I start to think again.
Fluttered open, darkness stays...
Decisions made, we went our ways.

I write this now so you can know
Things so hard for me to show -
You are my light, my life, my love,
My angel sent down from above.

Take these words and hold them true,
A promise now from me to you -
I'll fix your wings and mend your heart...
My angel forever, even apart.

    my favorite stanza...a blessed writer...i was just reading to return the favor, but i enjoyed this immensley...so surreal and intriging...you write beautifully...
