Test of Faith

I'm searching for friendship everlasting
but things never seem to go right,
it's like being in the realms of darkness
without a single flickering light.

I push you far away into my unknown,
because I fear you'll turn out like the rest
and when I pull my random tests of faith
to back away from you is what I do best.

Our friendship is accompanied by
too many disagreements of our kind
and when I think about it more often,
we should respect more of heart and mind.

I chose to stay there and listen
but you decided to walk away again,
I'm not the b!+ch you claim I am,
I just have a hard time when it comes to friends.

You have vast expectations of me
and I'm sorry I may not add up,
so next time you want to fight,
the conflicts test strength in love.
