Childish game

She sits in the corner,
Sad and all alone.
Dreading the day ahead,
Can not wait to go home.

The other kids tease her,
And call her bad names.
There is no difference,
Deep down she is the same.

She tries to ignore it,
Tries to be strong.
They continue what they’re doing,
Even though it is wrong.

She goes home,
And writes a short letter.
Hoping that soon,
Her life will be better.

She goes to the woods,
And finds a secluded place.
She pulls the trigger,
With the note close to her face.

They find her several days later,
Drenched in her own blood,
Lying in the woods,
In a puddle of mud.

They found the letter,
The suicide note,
And read aloud,
Every word she had wrote.

“I can not go to school,
Without being teased.
I have tried everything,
Even saying please.

They called me bad names,
Made fun of what I wore.
They laughed so hard,
They fell to the floor.

Maybe they will realize,
What they have done.
Feel bad for what they did,
Realize it was not that fun.

Maybe they will stop,
Treat everyone the same.
But I had to take my life,
Because of their childish game.\"

We should all stop to realize how we are treating the people around us whether it at school or the work place. We are all the same just some more fortunate than others. Be careful what you say to people and when you say it because it may be your words that make them take their life! Get to know them see what their really like who knows u may even become friends!

Just so everyone knows this poem is not about me!!! I read a book about a girl that was teased but had no one to be there for her and was sent to an a foster home. I just wrote a poem about it because I know we are all guilty of treating people this way and sometimes these people do eventually kill themselves, but this poem is not about me!!!!!
