He Didn't See Me There

He couldn't see me there,
Standing right in front of him.
With his head bowed low,
He just took the pain,
And diverted from my eyes.
Again and again,
Determined not to face,
Me waiting for his embrace.
He's so lost i can see,
There's so much going on for him.
I try to be there,
And tell him how much i care.
He couldn't see how much i missed him,
Blinded by his pride and self-loath.

Need you to open those eyes,
Look at me and see,
All is not as bad as it may seem.
Please open up to me,
You know you should.
I cans see that you want to,
Why are you holding back?

He walks away on a slow trudge.
I turn away so he doesn't see the smudges.
I only wanted to help him,
Before it was too late.
