What Do You See?

Look deep into my eyes,
They sting with such regret.
Of all those horrible nights,
I just want to forget.

Look deep into my eyes,
Do you see all the pain?
All the hidden scars,
I hold onto so much shame.

Look deep into my eyes,
Do you see all the lies?
When you walk past ignoring,
A part of me dies.

Look deep into my eyes,
Do you see my desperate plea.
To be out of this life,
Where Ill no longer bleed.

Look deep into my eyes,
Do you see the utter emptiness?
Where living is a chore,
And lost is my happiness.

Look deep into my eyes,
Do you see all my secrets?
Unknown to the world,
Your open hands I'll reject.

Look deep into my eyes,
Honestly tell me do you see light?
Is there any hope,
Or can I finally give up this fight?

    My favourite bit, that was so sad! Sorry it took me a while to comment, I was in Rome for a week with my family. Sorry, back to the poem. It was so sad and so deep, and I so know what you mean by the verse above, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, somewhere, even if it might be a long way away, you can make it!
