I can't stop reading this,
It's driving me insane,
I just want to hold you,
But it's crazy, I feel the same.

Except in my position,
I've been alone too long,
With no one who's there,
I just want to belong.

I feel something with you,
I trust you somehow,
I don't share that with others,
Not then, not now.

But you're strongly locked,
Behind you're brick wall,
You're utterly convinced,
That they will make you fall.

I know how that feels,
More than many do,
Been through it before,
God I can relate to you.

Been by your side for ever,
Even if you don't see.
Maybe I should have made it clearer,
That a friend was in me.

You're giving up so easy,
Is it not worth a try?
I know it will be hard,
Yes you will still cry.

But I need you babe,
Please be strong,
I just want to give you hope,
To realise this choice would be wrong.

What would be so bad?
In opening up to me?
Haven't I proved worthy?
You just don't want to see.

You want someone close,
Just as much as I do,
But you're so scared,
And I have no clue.

How do I show you?
That I just want to be friends,
You make me smile,
I could help you mend?

There's not much I can do,
To prove how my love is true.
To show how much I care,
About the one and only..you.
