Darkness

by Torn   Mar 1, 2006

Puddle of red,
Blocks of gray.
Smashed white powder,
Found where I lay.

Twisted thoughts,
Nervous, strained heart.
Suddenly stopped beating,
But it had from the start.

Worthless, idealistic toys,
Laying all around.
Razors, drugs, tissues,
Were all regretfully found.

Secretive, puzzled diaries,
Dreadfully exposed to all.
Graphically recounting,
My each and every fall.

Letters of love,
Of what was left of me.
Pouring my heart out,
For everyone to see.

A dark shadow formed,
It was my time to go.
Light at the end of the tunnel,
Was fading away so slow.

Darkness has engulfed me,
Burnt my every desire.
Suffocated hate,
Into hell, I now retire.

I love how you were able to show regret within every verse leading to the finale. great ending. nice flow. 5/5 keep up the great work.

I really love this because it's so brutal and occasionally violent, when it could so easily have turned into something completely different and not nearly so powerful. It's incredible stuff!
