X The Prisoner No-One Cares To Save

by Sole   Mar 18, 2006

Hands that wave forever more
Continue as they were before
Back and forth, rhythmic waves
Hands that no-one cares to save

A face, which always stays the same
People stare but have no shame
Watch the face with no surprise,
The face which never has had eyes

Why will no-one save this prisoner sublime?
This face and hands caught, in eternal time.

**Can You Guess Who The Prisoner Is?**

[Perhaps there is the main hint in the last line]

I think the prisoner is time. I thought this was brilliantly written. The rhyme scheme is ace and its just so greatly written. You capture the sadness in losing time so well(if time is the prisoner). Well Done

I almost thought the prisoner was the ocean but it didnt make sense..and the only guess I have is that it's a clock? Time? I'm not sure but a good riddle nonetheless
