X Your Music

by Sole   Mar 21, 2006

You think that you can't play
And people don't want to hear
But I heard you play today
And your unfaltering notes were music to my ears

Music that transformed my mind
As I drifted to another place
And the troubles that I left behind
As I looked into your face

As I walked over fields of gold
And your music played out strong and true
It made me just want to grow old
Listening to you

I want to live in this world forever
Hearing your perfect tone
And I never want to severe
From you or the world that I call my own

But your music falters, and you stop
And my world turns from peace to pain
And from my perfect world I drop
I just can't wait to hear your music once again.

This is such and original piece and it has such beautiful wording used! You had me in a beautiful trance all the way to the last paragraph when you slowly took me with your words back out of my trance! It was awesome and you have such a way with words!

I went to this poem next, because I saw the word Music. I'm a passionate musician, and I sometimes feel shy playing in front of people. I also feel like I'm not good at times. This was a good poem, definitely spoke to me.

Wow...I love this poem! It's extremely well-written and I love the message too. I completely understand how you feel cause music is my thing. It's sorta hard to tell if the entire poem is a metaphor or if it's really about music....I love it though.

    "Music that transformed my mind

....you did a great job with this stanza. 5/5

    Thanks for your comments too!
