Fading smile

by David Marshall   Apr 16, 2006

My smile begins to fade,
the stars disappear.
I wish you would have stayed,
sorrow in the air.

The wind blows silent,
the sun no longer has a shine.
You came and went,
you're no longer mine.

the trees die in my path,
sensing despair.
I feel depressions wrath,
now that your not there.

The ocean sings to me,
empty and alone.
Across the endless sea,
nothing left is shown.

I miss you so much,
my heart is forever hallow.
God, give me a chance,
a new path I'll follow.

She's all i had,
soul struck by thunder.
This life is sad,
I really did love her.

I'll leave everything,
my feelings forever true.
The ocean continues to sing,
I wonder what to do.

I'm not by her side,
my life's not worth while.
All I've done is cried,
where is my smile.
