Just Walk Away

I'll look away so you won't see
All that I pretend to be
I'll hide the truth so you won't know
All the things I wish to show

Constantly spinning, my mind in tune
With the melody of my sweet doom
Taking in the ignorance of time
Living has slowly become a crime

I will hide away, I will leave no trace
My evidence is an utter disgrace
Describing how I've failed this war
My soul has arrived at nothing more

Turn around and please walk away
Don't say goodbye, it's the only way
I know you love me, but I'm a waste
I'm sorry you were so woefully placed

Continue with me and I'll bring you down
I can no longer be while I'm around
I suffer mentally with sharpening pain
Methodically breaking from the strain

I've reached the edge, this time I'm done
I've convinced my mind; I will not run
I love you so much; you know what you mean
The time has arrived for my ending scene

    Wow, it doesn't look like you are no this site too much anymore, but you are on my favorites so I wanted to check out some more of your poetry, even if it wasn't new. This poem is very sad, written by a broken, tortured soul. I understand the emotions only too perfectly.
