Blue Eyes

by Rain   Jun 3, 2006

Those deep... blue eyes
That always draws my stare
Shining with a mystery
Glowing with a flare

Those eyes...blue eyes...
Staring out into the cold
The misty twinkle I can see
If anything is bold

I love them. Those blue eyes...
I glance in his direction...
He's staring back at me.
It's impossible perfection.

His eyes...Blue eyes...
Overflowing, dripping
With water...his tears.
I only find myself slipping.

Those darn blue eyes
That cause my firm grip
To loosen so slowly
Until finally I slip.
I slip into a day dream
Of only him and I
I could never make it.
FInally I tell those eyes good-bye.

Good-bye

I liked this poem. I liked the content, and the rhyme (always my weak spot with poems). I also liked the use of repetition (refrain if you're a poem techy).

Rain, it's a nice poem. I like how you have zoomed in on they eyes to tell your story. You have a small verb, subject disagreement in the first two lines, by the way. In general, a very nice effort.

This is a very, very emotional poem... it paints the perfect picture of a person with blue eyes... well done..
