Within The Mirror

by Sarah Dowlly   Jun 12, 2006

She lives her life in misery,
but no one seems to tell.
I watch as the darkness takes her,
down to her personal hell.

She used to try and fight it,
but she knows there's just no use.
The demons within devour her,
and she welcomes their abuse.

She's broken and she knows it,
scarred beyond repair.
Forced to live her life,
in this cruel state of despair.

If only I could save her,
and every night I try.
I'd tell her life gets better,
but a reflection cannot lie...

I loved the ending. You built it up like you were talking about someone else so the ending had a nice little kick to it.

    It's a perfect peom =) i'm serious =) the only thing i could think is this :

She's broken and she knows it,
    scarred beyond repair.
    Forced to live her life,
in this cruel state of despair.

-> scarred beyond repair , that line just doesn't sound right for me :s

but still good poem =) 5/5
